Mr. Lynch is a nationally recognized expert in the development and financing of waste-to-energy, solar, biomass and other renewable energy projects. To date, Mr. Lynch has developed and or financed over $5 billion of such projects throughout the US. Mr. Lynch previously served as Senior Vice President, National Project Finance Director for a top 3 NY Investment Bank.
Past and current advisory clients include Orsted, NRG, SunEdison, Macquarie, Anaergia, The United States Senate, The National Solid Waste Management Association, The National League of Cities, The City of Montreal, New York City Economic Development Corporation, New York Environmental Facilities Corporation, Penn State University, the Government Development Bank of Puerto Rico and numerous private renewable energy institutional investors.
Mr. Lynch has been a guest lecturer in Environmental Economics at Cornell University and Bowdoin College. Mr. Lynch holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Finance, a General Course Certificate from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts degree, Summa Cum Laude, in Economics from Bowdoin College.
Mr. Lynch holds Series 63, Series 79 and Series 82 securities licenses.
Edward is a finance executive with over twenty years of capital raising, structured senior lending and business planning and analysis experience. Edward was appointed in 2010 to serve as a Senior Investment Officer with the United States Department of Energy Loan Programs Office, where he led investment teams evaluating and structuring loans to finance carbon reducing projects in the automobile industry. Previously, he was a Director with Susquehanna International Group (SIG), where he raised capital for public and private companies and advised on mergers and acquisitions. Earlier in his career, Edward managed Business Planning and Analysis for the business process outsourcing division of MCI Communications, Inc.
Edward has completed fractional CFO assignments for companies in the technology, energy, publishing and business services sectors.
Edward graduated from The University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Economics in 1994. While there, he was on the Dean’s List and the Varsity Lightweight Crew Team. In 2000, Edward received an M.B.A with honors from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, where he concentrated in Finance.
Caroline Lynch is an Associate at R S Lynch Transition Funds. Caroline previously spent 3 years at Bloomberg in NYC, ending in a position selling fixed income, ESG, equity, crypto, commodity, multi-asset, and strategy indices to asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, hedge funds, ETF providers, commercial banks, and investment banks. At Bloomberg Caroline assisted in the generation of over $3M in index revenue covering clients in Canada & Southeast US. Caroline then joined the Business Development team at Greenbacker Capital where she developed, marketed, and sold Greenbacker sustainable infrastructure funds to RIAs and Broker Dealers. Caroline earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance Degree from American University in Washington, D.C. where she graduated Cum Laude.
Matt is an analyst at R S Lynch Transition Funds. Matt graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in finance at the University of Southern Maine.
